The PivotGuild policies and Terms & Conditions are very similar to that of our sister organization, Boulder Digital Arts. If you have any questions not addressed below, please Contact Us.
PivotGuild Terms and Conditions
Publicity Permissions: Occasionally PivotGuild takes photos and videos of our classes and events to use on our website, email newsletter, and other media outlets for promotional purposes. By entering the Boulder Digital Arts – PivotGuild training center or coworking space, you give PivotGuild permission to take and distribute photo and video content, and release PivotGuild, BDA, and its agents of any liability. You also agree that the images and footage will be copyrighted by PivotGuild and may be used with or without your name.
Registration:
Pre-Registration is required for all PivotGuild training and many of our other offerings. You can register for classes securely online at www.pivotguild.com.
General Refund Policy:
Our instructors have been hand-picked to offer the highest-quality training to our clients. It is imperative that students read, and re-read, the class descriptions, as well as any prerequisites, to be sure that the class is appropriate to your skill level. As a very small organization, we are unable to give refunds once a class has begun. If you are unsure whether or not a class is suitable for your skill level, please email us, and we will do our best to give you our recommendation.
Cancellation and Transfer Policy:
We rely on your attendance to make important arrangements, so if for any reason you need to withdraw from a regular 3-hour training event, please notify us at least 5 days before the start date of your workshop. At that time we will either refund your payment, or give you credit to be used within one year towards any future class.
If notification of cancellation is made less than 5 days before the start of the workshop, but more than two days before the workshop, we will issue you a credit to be used for any future class within one year.
However, due to the minimum participation necessary to hold our classes, if notification is made less than 48 hours before the start of a workshop, no refunds or credits will be given.
PivotGuild reserves the right to cancel a reservation if full payment has not been received by 3 days before a workshop begins. No refund of any fees will be made for withdrawal after the class begins. In the event that a workshop must be canceled due to inadequate enrollment, all fees are refunded in full or may be transferred to another workshop within 12 months. Our limit of liability is to return all monies paid to PivotGuild.
If for any reason you wish to transfer to a different workshop, please notify us at least 5 days before the start of the workshop you wish to withdraw from. You must register and complete a new workshop within 12 months of the withdrawal. There are no exceptions to our Cancellation and Transfer Policy.
“Full-Day and Multiple-Day Hands-On Intensive” Training Cancellation and Transfer Policy:
Since each PivotGuild “Hands-On” course is limited to a smaller number of clients, it is very difficult to find last-minute replacements. If for any reason you need to withdraw from a “Full-Day or Multiple-Day Hands-On Intensive” course, you must notify us at least 7 days before the start date of your class. At that time, you may choose from either of these two options: PivotGuildwill refund your payment less a $50 processing fee; or give you credit for the amount paid less a $50 processing fee to be used within one year towards any future course.
If notification of cancellation is made less than 7 days before the start of the workshop, but more than 3 days before the start of the workshop, we will issue you a credit less a $75 processing fee to be used for any future class within one year.
However, if notification is made less than 3 days before the start of a class, no refunds or credits will be given.
Registration Cancellations: PivotGuild reserves the right to cancel an online reservation if full payment has not been received by 14 days before a class begins. No refund of any fees will be made for withdrawal after the class begins. In the event that a course must be canceled due to inadequate enrollment, all fees will be refunded in full, or you may choose to be transferred to another course within 12 months. Our limit of liability is to return all monies paid to Pivot Guild. There are no exceptions to our Cancellation and Transfer Policy.
Instructor Replacement:
It is the nature of the business that occasionally a listed instructor is unable to participate because of a change in his or her professional schedule, or due to illness. If we are forced to replace an instructor, we will do so with someone of equal or similar credentials. When time permits, we will do our best to inform all those pre-registered.
People with Disabilities:
PivotGuild makes a commitment to try it’s best to accommodate people with any disabilities or special needs. If you have any concerns or questions, or feel you require any special accommodations, please let us know so we can do our best to make it work!
Travel: Please do not purchase non-refundable airline tickets or make non-refundable deposits on lodging. Program cancellations may occur and PivotGuild will not be responsible for non-refundable airline tickets or lodging reservations. Make sure everything can be cancelled with a refund 14 days ahead of time; additionally, we highly recommend travel insurance, especially as it regards to medical/dental emergencies, missed connections, trip cancellation, and lost baggage. The limit of PivotGuild’s liability is the return of all tuition monies paid to PivotGuild, according to these policies.
PivotGuild regrets that it cannot make exceptions to our cancellation policy for any reason, including personal emergencies. This cancellation policy applies to all PivotGuild events.
Limit of Liability If a program you have paid for is canceled, for any reason, the extent of PivotGuild’s liability is limited to the return of your paid tuition fees. As a program participant, you agree to accept full and complete responsibility for your own welfare and property as noted above, and assume the full risks of travel, medical emergencies, cancellation for any reason, and general participation in our programs.
